About the Artist
Inspiration can come to me from anywhere. It may come from my scrolling across various social media platforms, from a family member’s unique pose, or from a perfectly imperfect landscape. My artwork varies by the day and by the mood, but the one constant is that it will always be my escape. Sometimes the best artwork can come out of the worst days. This expression of art can come in many forms and it doesn’t always require me to pull a brush across a canvas. Photography is one of my favorite mediums and my dogs are my favorite subject. The important part of picture taking to me is capturing the warm feeling that I experience throughout my body when a particular setting is displayed in front of me. My mediums are always expanding and I am currently learning to familiarize myself with a digital paintbrush, much to the overwhelming compliments of my family. A paintbrush to me is anything that can spread paint, be it a mouse, a physical brush, or my hands smeared across a canvas. There is no spot that is safe from the mess of my creations. I sit on the floor to create, on the couch, in a hammock, or even in my bed. This can clearly be seen by the mess that is my carpet; covered in paint and stains and marks. It is important to me that the things I create come from my heart, because that is what they are, little pieces of me and my heart.
